The New York Times reported on Tuesday that Nissan plans to sell electric cars in the US in 2010. Nissan’s chief executive, Carlos Ghosn, said the company was motivated to accelerate the development of battery-powered vehicles by high gas prices and environmental concerns. Nissan expects to expand to a globally-marketed fleet of 60 electric vehicles by 2012.

Why GM and Ford deserve to go out of business
Why is it that foreign companies can manage to build and sell electric cars, and American companies can only show drawings of concept cars? Could it be that GM and Ford managers are complete morons? Or are they going to blame the engineers for their prolonged mismanagement?
The shame of it is that these managers will take their millions in bonuses and severance packages, looting the company's shareholders and employees and leaving America's economy in ruin. But the blame doesn't stop there - there is plenty left for a government that allowed this to occur by taking money and parroting claims that it would cost too much.
The result - Honda, Nissan, and Toyota are all selling the cars people want.
I don't understand why more shareholders and employees don't burn the company's HQ to the ground for what has been done to them. I really don't.
