Average life spans have been increasing and there is a direct correlation between advances in vaccine technology and average lifespan. Yet some claim that they are killing us, causing autism, and making chickens moonwalk. OK, I made the last one up. And none of these clams have been proven. But if these fringe elements actually manage to convince enough people to stop vaccinating their kids, its likely that not only will their kids suffer and die (seems like abuse to me), but my kids could get sick too. And me. And you.
I enjoy lunatic fringe theories as much and the next paranoid conspiracy theorist. And maybe the little green men were on the grassy knoll and the commies are sapping our precious bodily fluids with fluorinated water, and we really do have a mineshaft gap, but if you are going to make choice based on outrageous and unproven claims against science, I'd prefer if you made choice that just kill you and not the rest of us.
