Created by the Progressive Bag Alliance, an organization dedicated to ensuring that plastic bags are recycled, reused, and disposed of properly. Oh, and it’s founded by all of the big plastic bag manufacturers. I’d add another line to their mission - to promote the use of plastic bags. They are here to remind us that plastic bags can be reused and recycled - and that they are better than paper bags. Tips to reuse and recycle plastic bags

There are plenty of ways to reuse and recycle plastic bags instead of simply throwing them in the bin once you have unpacked your shopping. Whether its using them as bin liners, using them to pick up dog mess or simply reusing them each time you go shopping.

I agree.. plastic bags reused are better than paper-bags. the problem is they're so flimsy and so ubiquitous that trying to reuse, collect and recycle them is a major pain. Plus, all of that rustling is annoying! If bags were heartier, they'd be more re-usable. But then, would the manufactuerers of plastic bags want see the need to keep manufacturing trickle off?
