But for such a huge country it is going to take time.

I am trying to track all the products I buy but it has become a real nightmare lately. About absolutely everything is made in China. My answer is recycling. I try to buy second hands the most I can. But when I need building supplies, when I need new floors and so on, I spend hours on the net trying to find eco friendly sources. Most of them are not in the same states, or most of them offers products so expensive that it is impossible to afford.
That is what we get on our end: eco friendliness is a luxury! It shouldn't be. We should have the choice. I am ready to pay a little more, but not as if the product was gold or diamond.
And then, we all are doing the best we can, when China and India are ready to eat up OUR earth.
They are sitted on the branch, cutting it. Except we are all on the branch.
I am left to wonder if boycotting Made in China products is still worthing it.

Where are all the products that China manufacturers winding up? Have you been to Walmart lately? Want a cheap big screen tv or a new laptop? Wonder were my new Canon digital camera was made.

I agree
There have been encouraging developments in China's willingness to let US inspectors monitor certain aspects of food exports...I think that a big factor will be the US consumer demand for eco-friendly products, and increasing understanding of the impact on their own country's health and steps to reduce their own emissions
