Looks like the egg is making a healthy comeback and not considered the high cholesterol causing culprit that we thought it was. But, as with any food, moderation is still key.

Eggs typically come from hens kept in battery cages
Be careful with eggs. Over 95% of eggs sold in America are from factory farms where hens are piled one on top of the other in tiny cages and treated like egg-producing machines. The over-crowded, unsanitary conditions in factory farms for eggs and meat may lead to a bird flu pandemic. There are many alternatives to cooking with eggs that are more humane, sustainable and healthier, including tofu, flax seed, and mashed bananas (for baking).
