It's not as peachy as you make it out to be...
Hydroelectric has its own issues. Like the fact that you have to create dams that screw up eco-systems.
This article totally ignores the fact that salmon populations are being decimated by dams. To you this is a "small disadvantage", but I am sure the salmon and other wildlife that are being destroyed would disagree.

Yes this is better than us all dying from air pollution, but there are surely better options than this.
