Okay so there really isn’t anything left to be said for this guy, but I’m gonna do it again in hopes that other musicians will catch on and I will have more to talk about. Some celebrities have demands when they are in certain situations, they can sometimes be referred to as “Diva’s” for this due to how ridiculous some requests are. So how about a “Green Diva”?

Of course, seeing Lucy makes you happy, but that music, that flowing melody…what is it? who created it? WE ALL LOVE IT! The music was written and performed by a very cool guy named Alex Reiser. We interviewed him so that we could find out as much as we could about this musical genius. Here are our questions and his answers:

The Junkman actually creates beautiful tunes out of trash making everything appear both synonymous with magical sound and a wonderful environmental cause. His passion to save the planet and his love for music have come together to make something both unique and special.

Music for a Green Planet takes many traditional children’s songs, as well as other popular classics, and changes the lyrics to reflect a green message. I have probably listened to this cd a dozen times in one day, as my children absolutely adore it, and I do too. The first track is a version of “She’ll be Comin’ Round the Mountain” only she’s driving a hybrid and using biodiesel.

Many people think that musicians are so self-absorbed that they have little respect for the people and environment around them. That's why it’s great to know that there are actually famous people out there who are taking part in the green movement and sharing their eco-lifestyle with their fans.

Does this guy ever stop? I mean before we were talking about with eco/green recording studio, and now he’s launching a great initiative over his home website to help all those Jack J fans make a difference in our world. The new initiative is title quite fittingly, All At Once.

Eco-friendly music festivals are no longer the hippy-fueled, wishy washy events they once were. Folk trios have been replaced by solar powered rock, and locally sourced, organic beef has taken the place of cardboard like tofu-burgers. You can’t do anything but love this guy and his music. The mellow good feeling vibe combined an environmental awareness of messages and recording. Wait…recording? Yes that’s right, in addition to making an amazing follow up to “In Between Dreams” Jack Johnson’s new album “Sleep Through The Static” was recording at an all solar-powered studio.
