They have been in business for over 30 years, their product SolarWall (the "transpired solar collector") is in use on buildings for the US Military, Wal-Mart, Fed Ex, Bombardier, Ford, GM, etc, they have won multiple awards and has been praised by the United States Department of Energy as "[in the] top two percent of energy related inventions." - why don't they get more coverage?!? Watch the flash presentation and tell me this isn't a serious and practical solution to help mitigate GHG gases and climate change...

(via www.lvrealty.net)
The Union park development in Las Vegas has been accepted into a LEED pilot program. It should be the biggest commercial green project in the state.

GreenBuild Conference 2007
(via www.steelcase.com)
Visited the Steelcase (office furniture manufacturer) exhibit at the GreenBuild Conference in Chicago. They passed out a fantastic book called, "Hug Responsibly: A hugger's guide to friendly furniture". There is a PDF of the book at their website (see link). It's not only VERY funny, it's actually one of the best jobs I've seen of communicating an environmental message in a relevant, engaging and fun way. I love it.
