Especially in the winter and hot summer, when houses are shut tight with indoor air circulating and recirculating, the air in our houses can become very polluted from our toxic household products, off-gassing of flame retardants from electronic products, and from the chemicals in new carpets, traditional paint and building materials, and from the foam and pressed wood used to make a lot of modern furniture.
