In an effort to get delegates coming to Denver this week the DNCC has started the "Green Delegate Challenge" as part of their convention "greening plan". Delegates and delegations are encouraged to purchase offsets from Native Energy Inc. In turn Native Energy will invest in four community-based renewable energy projects.

Barack Obama says he talks regularly with former Vice President Al Gore and, if elected, would consider him for a cabinet level position, if not higher.  Being that there is no higher post than cabinet member in the White House, aside from Vice President, it seemed to open the door to a possible Obama, Gore ticket if Obama were to win the Democratic nomination.  Obama goes on to firmly state that climate change is an issue that deserves immediate attention and that Gore would play a pivotal role in handling the crisis.
