The first in a series of articles about a home owners attempt to reduce the heat buildup in the home's south facing rooms due to the large windows along the south walls. As the article describes and shows with the pictures, even with ENERGY STAR rated windows recently installed the heat buildup is significant (and this is jus the winter time). As well, the sun is not blocked very much by the current interior window shades. This should be interesting.
