Hottest year on record is still 1998 despite NASA correction

Despite NASA's recent minor correction to US temperature data 1998 remains the hottest year on record, followed by 2006 according to the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) who is the officially mandated with keeping such records.
