There is an article in the Seattle Times that reviews a study done in 2005 which states Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue is ranked number six as lowest carbon emissions per capita.

Today is the second day of the Green Festival in Seattle. The Green Festival, a joint project of Global Exchange and Co-op America, is the largest green living event in the U.S. and also a great opportunity to see and explore so much of the green world, which is concentrated like a green capsule for two days under one roof.

No matter how much I “green” my lifestyle, I can’t get away from the fact that I adore fashion. In all my 23 years, I’m still not able to explain just what it is about clothing that draws me to it, but the passion is undeniably there. With all of the eco-fashion options abound these days, it is clear that I am not the only person clamoring for sustainable style and that’s a damn good thing.

Greg Nickels, Mayor of Seattle, Advisory Board Chair, US Conference of Mayors, describes what U.S. mayors are doing to combat climate change through the Mayors' Climate Protection Agreement. Some 780 US cities have signed the Agreement. Nickels also talks about the emerging field of green jobs.
