The US is not a small player in wind energy, but, to date, offshore wind farms have not been built. This is soon to end however with plans for offshore sites in Delaware, Massachusetts and Texas. And California? It may soon follow.

According to the Cape Cod Commission’s published report:"Cape Wind had failed to submit information" requested by a subcommittee reviewing the application "in a timely manner" and yet would not agree to “to any further extension of the 60-day decision period.”
