Its an obvious statement but I’m going to say it anyways, technology really is amazing. When you reflect about how far some daily aspects of our lives have come, it astounds me! This hit me when I came across the news that, yet again, lightbulbs have taken another efficient step forwards. At the moment it isn’t financially practical for companies to implement this development, but nothing is when it is first discovered.

So here I am again talking about an energy company going green. Theres so many issues and ethics to consider here it makes you want to be sick. An energy company going green? I know....I know, but todays post is a little different. Here we have an energy company going green, and they are largely based in California. With that being said, it may be possible to consider them actually going green due to strict regulations in California and well just being in the "green" state of California. The company is PG&E, and their amazing slogan is "We Can Do This"!

A New Spin on an Old Story
Theres now doubt the world has awoken to the benefits about CFL's, and how incandescent is just not the way to go. CFL use is growing and you can see it for yourself by either walking around neighborhoods or looking at the lights in some local stores and shops. But whatever happened to that whole mercury scare, and what is being done about it?

At Lightfair 2007 in New York City, there were so many promising CFL and LED fixtures. One that caught my eye was LED Lighting Fixture, Inc.’s LR6. This LED looked like it was wearing a metal hat and simply screwed into a typical 6†recessed lighting can, as demonstrated by one of the salespersons.
