Is Halifax, Nova Scotia planning a third bridge?
(via lowerfootprint.blogspot.com)
Reports are that the Halifax Regional Municipality is considering adding a third bridge or tunnel to increase its traffic infrastructure. This is contrary to good conservation planning. Lower Footprint suggests that the municipality should be reducing its traffic and increasing its public transportation.

10,000 Telecommuters back on the road - AT&T and SBC contribute to global warming!!
(via digg.com)
SBC and AT&T plan to force at least 10,000 workers back into their cars. The costs for fuel, pollution, and increased office space must be incredible. Even worse is the terrible example they are setting for other firms. A few years ago, my old employer used AT&T lines to support our telecommuting program. I will contact my friends in their IT department to encourage them to take their business elsewhere. Let's shed some light on this act of corporate irresponsibility!!
