As a senator, McCain has long represented a state, Arizona, that would love to steal Colorado's water. But now, he wants our votes. Apparently, nobody bothered to brief the candidate who Paris Hilton called "that wrinkly, white-haired guy" that stealing Colorado's water to benefit Arizona, California and Nevada isn't as popular an idea in Colorado as it is in Arizona, California and Nevada.

Organic on the Green is a new blog developed by OTA to give college students interested in organics a place to network!  It features essays from students on the front lines of making college dining more sustainable and includes postings that address such diverse topics as local vs. organic, student run gardens and CSAs, and college farmers’ markets.

This long-awaited film release by French filmmaker Marie-Monique Robin is now finally available in the US!

The formal release of this chilling documentary is scheduled for fall 2008 with public showings around the nation, but the film is now available as a pre-publication release.

It’s Monday, your tired from the weekend, and work is the last place you want to be right now! Now it may be Monday but do you still have to look your best for that crazy Monday meeting? MUM’s Sustainable Living Center — the “ultimate" green building

How we saved money and built whiteboards trimmed in bamboo and put bamboo panels below it.  Whiteboards were made from FSC Thrifty White Tileboard and only cost $12.95 for a 4'x8' whiteboard!  We are also using eco-friendly dry erase markers.

Bottled water isn't bad but it has to be purchased and consumed responsibly. Some manufacturer and retail practices are to blame, in addition to recycling flow systems in city municipalities. After speaking with the North American brand manager for Aquafina, these are some primary points agreed upon.

Interesting milk bottle design for ASDA supermarkets in the UK. Has a recycled paper shell with an inner bag made of corn starch. Nice idea.

I’m not sure if you remember those hilarious radio ads where the title finishing line was “Too bad IKEA doesn’t sell friends”. Doesn’t due it much justice I guess you kinda had to hear it, but those who did know what I’m talking about! Anyways, I always preach the role that major chains and companies have to play in order to get the green ball rolling. Well it seems IKEA might be making a small step in the right direction.

It’s a common fear or concern among many people in many countries, is what we are being told/see really what it is? A common example of this is the news. Is what’s being reported actually the full story? Or are we being given an altered and interpreted view? They same thought can be applied to organically certified food, and is it actually organic?

Have you ever painted a really small and tight room and felt like you were gonna fall to the floor or pass out from the fumes? It certainly can’t be a good thing right? Stupid question (I know), but...

Scoodi is a trading site dedicated to the re-use of the stuff we already have, and long term "stuff" sustainability.  Scoodi is different, its hyper local which means reduced transport, its a long term inventory so you you can list things and relax; and you can go looking for things when you are ready.  Scoodi is free, easy and fun because sustainability is important.  We hope Scoodi is useful to the tree hugger community.
