Architect Guillermo Hevia has been doing nice industrial works, focusing on sustainability. This glass bottling plant features passive ventilation and a daylight use strategy that reduces the energy consumption of the building.

Please check out this amazing recycled antique glass jewelry I discovered.  The artist reclaims antique bottles and glass  from old dumps from natural habitats and rural farmlands where she lives.  Each piece comes with "The Story of the Glass" detailing what the glass was back in history and how old!  They are remarkably unique, and beautiful.

A Brazilian state has given manufacturers (including Ambev and FEMSA) and distributors a 11 August deadline for submitting a plan to increase recycling long-neck bottles used for beverages (primarily beer), or be fined heavily or even banned.

A Denmark company has a new cleaning product called ShineOn that keeps windows free from dirt and grime for up to two years. ShineOn is a thin coating developed using nanotechnology by SCF Technologies. The coating chemically bonds with glass to create a layer that uses the sun’s energy to “burn” loose dirt that gathers on the glass and loosen it from the surface. The dirt is then washed away from the window by rain.
